Za\u0161to English All Around?<\/span><\/h4>\n

\"Logo<\/a>Privatna umjetni\u010dka gimnazija i ove godine nastavlja organizirati festival\u00a0English all around \u2013 Celebrating passion for English<\/em><\/strong>. Iskustvo u\u010deni\u010dkog sudjelovanja na natjecanju, u\u010denja i dru\u017eenja \u017eelimo osna\u017eiti i promicati kako bi i nove generacije mogle pokazati sve svoje talente, znanja, sposobnosti i vje\u0161tine na engleskom jeziku te maksimalno u\u017eivati u\u010de\u0107i i upoznaju\u0107i svoje vr\u0161njake iz cijele Hrvatske.<\/p>\n

Svi u\u010denici osnovnih i srednjih \u0161kola mogu sudjelovati u bilo kojem od ponu\u0111enih izazova: Film, Glazba, Pri\u010da, Drama, Izlaganje, Govorenje i Sricanje.<\/p>\n

Why English All Around?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Private High School for Arts also\u00a0<\/span>this year\u00a0<\/span>continues to organize the festival English All around \u2013 Celebrating passion for English<\/strong>. We want to strengthen and promote the\u00a0<\/span>students’\u00a0<\/span>experience to learn and interact with their peers as well as the judges. That is why English All Around has been created \u2013 to enable new generations to show their talents, knowledge and skills in the English language, fully enjoying learning while spending time with their peers from all over Croatia.<\/span><\/p>\n

All primary and secondary school students can participate in any of the following challenges: Movie, Music, Story, Drama, Presentation, Speaking, and Spelling.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Za\u0161to Privatna umjetni\u010dka gimnazija kao organizator?<\/span><\/h4>\n

\"Logo\"<\/a>Nakon vi\u0161egodi\u0161njeg sudjelovanja na natjecanju Engleski u akciji rastu\u017eila nas je vijest da se natjecanje odga\u0111a na neodre\u0111eno vrijeme. Na\u0161i su u\u010denici uvijek vrlo zainteresirani za prilike da poka\u017eu svoju kreativnost i vje\u0161tine, a smatrali smo da je potrebno o\u010duvati manifestaciju koja \u0107e u\u010denicima osnovnih i srednjih \u0161kola omogu\u0107iti u\u017eivanje u engleskome jeziku i pokazivanje svojih radova kao krunu talenta i truda u nastavi i izvan nje.<\/p>\n

Zato smo 2017. godine odlu\u010dili da se u\u010denici i njihovi mentori okupe u na\u0161oj organizaciji i proslave tu strast koju gaje za engleskim.\u00a0Shvatili smo da u na\u0161em svakodnevnom radu, kroz brojne kontakte s uglednicima i institucijama \u0161irom Hrvatske mo\u017eemo stvoriti sve potrebne preduvjete da se ovakav festival mo\u017ee uspje\u0161no odr\u017eati. Zahvaljujemo ovom prilikom svima koji su pomogli da ova manifestacija okupi vi\u0161e od 300 sudionika iz 32 \u0161kole iz cijele Hrvatske i da se proslava odr\u017ei uz silne superlative.<\/p>\n

Ove 2018. jo\u0161 smo ambiciozniji – dodali smo izazov izlaganja, jo\u0161 ranije krenuli u pripreme i \u010dini se da \u0107e broj \u0161kola i broj u\u010denika sudionika biti dvostruko ve\u0107i!.<\/p>\n

Prema preliminarnim – informativnim registracijama – ove se godine o\u010dekuje oko 40 filmova i 40 pri\u010da, 20 pjesama, 25 drama, 40 govornika i 25 izlaganja, te 40 sudionika u izazovu slovkanja!<\/p>\n

Naravno da se te brojke jo\u0161 mogu promijeniti jer slu\u017ebena registracija tek po\u010dinje i trajat \u0107e do 26. sije\u010dnja 2018. do kada svi radovi moraju biti poslani na na\u0161u adresu.<\/p>\n

\n

Why\u00a0Private High School for Arts as the organiser?<\/span><\/h4>\n

After several years of participating in English in Action competition, we were saddened by the news that the competition was cancelled. Our students have always been interested in showing their creativity and skills, and we thought that it was necessary to continue with a competition that will enable primary and secondary school students enjoy the English language and show their work as a crown of talent and hard work in and out of class.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why in 2017 we have decided to gather students and their mentors ourselves, in order to celebrate their passion for English together.\u00a0<\/span>We have realized that in our everyday work, through many contacts with experts and institutions all around Croatia, we can create the necessary preconditions for organising such a festival successfully. We hereby thank everyone who helped that this manifestation gather over 300 participants from 32 schools all around Croatia and that the celebration receives accolades.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this 2018, we are even more ambitious – we added Presentation chalenge, even earlier\u00a0commenced preparations and it seems\u00a0 that EAA 2018 will be twice as big as EAA 2017!<\/span><\/p>\n

According to preliminary, informative registrations, we are expecting around 40 movies, 40 stories,\u00a0 20 songs, 25 plays, 40 speakers and 40 spellers, and around 25 presentations!<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, the numbers coming out of this initial expression of interest\u00a0can change, since the official registration is only starting and will remain open by 26 January 2018. By that date all the works will have to be submitted to us as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Za\u0161to “Identitet” kao ovogodi\u0161nja tema?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Ove smo godine svim zainteresiranima – u\u010denicima, mentorima, sucima i svima drugima – ponudili pet tema koje smo smatrali interesantnima, dovoljno \u0161irokima da se u njima razma\u0161e kreativnost na\u0161ih u\u010denika. Vi\u0161e o svih pet tema mo\u017eete prona\u0107i OVDJE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nakon vi\u0161e od 150 registriranih glasova – odabrana je tema Identitet.<\/p>\n

Ni\u017ee mo\u017eete pro\u010ditati opis ove teme koji ne uklju\u010duje obvezatne smjernice, niti iscrpljuje sve o \u010demu se pod ovom temom mo\u017ee raspravljati. U\u010denici i njihovi mentori mogu slobodno ovu temu obraditi na koji god kreativan na\u010din \u017eele!<\/p>\n

Definiranje identiteta:<\/p>\n

\u0160to definira identitet? \u0160to na njega utje\u010de? \u0160to ga oblikuje? \u0160to ga mijenja? Kako prona\u0107i vlastiti identitet? Utje\u010de li izgled na na\u0161 identitet ili ga mijenja?<\/p>\n

Virtualni identitet:<\/p>\n

Otkako su razne dru\u0161tvene mre\u017ee preplavile internet ljudi su stvorili razne virtualne identitete. Zamjenjuju li virtualni identiteti na\u0161e prave identitete? Poma\u017eu li oni osobi stvoriti vlastito \u201eja\u201d ili se ljudi izgube me\u0111u njima? Jesu li na\u0161i virtualni identiteti la\u017eni ili nam omogu\u0107uju biti ono \u0161to jesmo? Ima li osoba pravo na vi\u0161estruke identitete?<\/p>\n

Tema je vrlo \u0161iroka te pru\u017ea u\u010denicima mnogo mogu\u0107nosti da se izraze kroz film, glazbu, tekst, predstavu i govor. Tako\u0111er, na ovaj na\u010din mogu progovoriti o brojnim izazovima, nerije\u0161enim pitanjima te daljnjim mogu\u0107nostima vlastitoga razvoja.<\/p>\n

Why\u00a0\u201cIdentity\u201d as the main theme this year?<\/span><\/h4>\n

This year we proposed to everyone interested – students, mentors, judges and everyone else – five themes which we deemed interesting, broad enough to enable creativity of our students spreading its wings. More about all five topics can be found HERE<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

150 registered votes later – the chosen theme was Identity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Below you can find some descriptions of this topic, but they are far from being the mandatory guidelines or exhaustive of what can be covered under a particular topic. Students, under the guidance of their mentors, are free to cover this topic in any creative way they wish!<\/span><\/p>\n

Defining identity:<\/span><\/p>\n

What defines identity? What influences it? What shapes it? What changes it? How does one find their own identity? Do appearances influence our identity or do they change it?<\/span><\/p>\n

Types of identity:<\/span><\/p>\n

Individual\/personal \u2013 Social \u2013 Collective \u2013 National \u2013 Fluid \u2013 Multiple \u2013 Disappearing \u2013 Endangered \u2013 Lost \u2013 Stigmatized \u2013 Virtual \u2013 Visual<\/span><\/p>\n

Virtual identity:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ever since various social networks flooded the Internet, people have constructed numerous virtual identities. Do virtual identities replace our true identities? Do they help a person form their own \u201cI\u201d or are they lost among them? Are our virtual identities fake or do they enable us be our true selves? Does a person have the right to have multiple identities?<\/span><\/p>\n

The theme is very broad and it gives students the opportunity to express themselves through movie, music, text, speech and a play. Furthermore, in this way they can speak up about many challenges, unsolved questions and further opportunities for self-growth.<\/span><\/p>\n
